Please relay greetings to class members of the '30's from my mother, Sydney (Mosier) Mollica, class of 1937. She is unable to travel but wishes all the best to old friends. She is 91 years old and still lives independently near her 2 daughters in Nampa, Idaho. Her health is good and she enjoys quilting.
Sydney is the daughter of Herman and Jessie Mosier of Loma, both buried in Big Sandy. She was a good friend of Lucille (Schlack) and Bert Stack, and first cousin to Siebrasse kids Jack, Pat, Wilma, Betty, and Audrey. Their mother Ada (Mosier) was my mother's aunt.

Great to see the Pioneer spirit expanding into the web. Looks like the committee has really worked hard and deserves a "Rousing", standup, "Thank you" from all the classes. You have covered all the items that we have enjoyed in the past Homecomings, plus you have added new items for the younger classes. My family is looking forward to the whole deal when June rolls around.

The Homecoming Booklet will not be the same without our Man, Jim Rettig. Their state of the art equipment and professional staff are already on the job and wish to make this the best booklet we've ever had! Please thank them for being here.

More will be coming to this blog in the days and weeks to come - stay tuned!!

Thanks for the update. I'll be watching for the registration papers. I have a suggestion--how about posting the names of those who register and the year they graduated? It'd be nice to see who all is registering in advance.

Scott:

Since I see no other responses in this part of Big Sandy Homecoming's page, I was not certain if you received any response from anyone regarding the Homecoming festivities in June 2010. As you may know by now, there really is no invitation needed to come visit and enjoy all the festivities. If you want to be able to enjoy the meals and some of the other festivities that require registration, you would need to contact the homecoming committee which I believe you can do through this website.

If you have challenges, feel free to contact me and I would be happy to help in any way that I can. You can email me at jdbent@itstriangle.com.

Say! I'm looking for some action and response to the request for pictures! I had several urgent requests for information on memorial pages for the booklet and have had no response as yet. If you'd like to help get the booklet plan off the ground, call me very soon - 390-3176. Thanks!

Hello BSHS!

I'm not sure if this is the right area to be posting but here goes.!

Recently I became reacquainted with Rick Tyler and he let me know of the homecoming and I wanted very much to be invited.

We moved from Big Sandy just before my Senior year there and I graduated from Great Falls High School in 1973.

I've never been to a reunion simply because I never knew anyone in the GFHS graduating Class.

Most of the people I knew were Juniors or Sophomores.

So needless to say I am very excited at the prospect of seeing the people I knew at your Reunion.

As I have grown older I have come to appreciate more deeply "Roots" of where one has felt most at home which for me was Big Sandy and BSHS and I hope to re-connect with Folks.

Here's some back info for you.

Currently I am an Employee with The Boeing Company, Triple 7 Division in the supply chain.
We manage all incoming shipments of airplane parts and assemblies for the 777 aircraft.

My former positions at Boeing were as a fabricator, installer and structural mechanic for the 737, 747 programs.

I am also a member of The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary specializing in recreational vessel safety checks and also work in Aids to Navigation Verfier. Currently I am training for Instructor Qualification.

Our Flotilla is located at the Coast Guard Base, Sector Seattle, Pier 36.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
